He has built his investment career at firms including BRV Capital Management and Crane Partners, and is also the founder of Forest Partners. His greatest sense of fulfillment comes from discovering and supporting Forest Partners’ portfolio companies and seeing both the companies and the people behind them grow and succeed.

After Seoul National University (Electrical Engineering) and Bain & Company, he earned an MBA at Stanford, served as Managing Director at Tiger Asia Management, and founded Tiger Pacific Capital, growing it into a $2bn fund. Beyond returns, he invests in the people, products, and companies that change the world. Drawing on 18 years of investing in the world's leading listed companies on Wall Street, he identifies and supports companies that keep growing beyond IPO. His key portfolio includes Inocras, Standard Energy, Moreh, Motif, Neo AI Cloud, Chelsio, and FADU.

He examines the essence of companies through a public equity lens and applies it to investment decisions and portfolio growth. After Goldman Sachs and Lone Star Funds, he served as Managing Director at Tiger Asia Management. He now leads Forest Asset Management, investing primarily in global technology, consumer, retail, and financial equities.
